Mt Warren Park Golf Club, operated by Beenleigh RSL & Golf Club, is a popular golf course offering a fantastic golfing experience to players of all levels. Our facilities include a full-service golf shop, 14 bay driving range, and a well-maintained 18-hole course. We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Golf Shop Manager to join our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our golf shop.
Located just a hop, skip off the M1 between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, boasting a strong membership base, as well as a very busy social golf calendar.
As the Golf Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the golf shop, ensuring excellent customer service, overseeing inventory, and coordinating with other departments to provide an exceptional experience for our members and guests. You will also play a key role in promoting the game of golf and increasing sales through innovative marketing and merchandising strategies. Work closely with the Golf Operations Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the golf shop.
Essential:
Must be a fully qualified PGA Professional
Knowledge of Golf Management Systems (MiClub preferred)
Blue Card qualification (or able to obtain)
Responsible service of alcohol certificate (or able to obtain)
Current first aid and CPR certificate (or ability to obtain)
Role:
Oversee daily operations of the golf shop, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Manage and maintain inventory, including ordering, stocking, and merchandising of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
Ensure accurate sales and cash handling procedures are followed.
Organise and promote golf tournaments, events, and member activities in collaboration with the Golf Operations team and Marketing team.
Coordinate competitions, timesheets management and bookings, prize distribution and handicap enquiries in conjunction with the Golf Operations team.
Undertake necessary golf equipment repairs in a timely manner, providing education and training to golf shop staff.
Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase golf shop revenue.
Train, supervise, and schedule golf shop staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely product deliveries and favourable pricing.
Provide up-to-date knowledge of the latest golf products and trends to assist customers with informed purchasing decisions.
Collaborate with the Golf Course Superintendent and other key staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Ensure compliance with club policies, safety regulations, and customer service standards.
