About the RoleJoin Heirloom as a Global Supply Manager and play a vital role in our fight against climate change. Working closely with Technology, Capital Projects, Finance and Legal teams, as well as external firms, you'll conduct market evaluations to ensure strategic supplier selection, drive costs down and support Heirloom's growth.
In this vital role, you will take charge of procuring all construction materials (MEP) for our next deployment and develop cost-down strategies for scaling to larger deployments. Negotiating early facility discounts through well-structured supplier contracts, you'll secure optimum value for money and cost targets for Heirloom.
In this role, you'll work closely (and need to communicate effectively) with senior leadership, manage risks proactively, and swiftly resolve challenges. If you're a motivated professional eager to make a difference, this is a chance to help shape the supply chain for the entire Direct Air Capture industry while driving Heirloom's success.
About YouOur ideal candidate has extensive experience in construction environments, particularly with EPC delivery models or MEP parts and equipment procurement. You excel at evaluating suppliers' quality procedures to ensure they meet specifications and requirements and have experience establishing supply chains from scratch, analyzing detailed bids, and managing cost through design changes.
You can read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications and develop strategic supplier relationships to achieve cost savings. Your analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you are skilled at assessing make vs. buy decisions.
You excel at selling a vision and opportunity to prospective suppliers, have a proven track record in relationship management, and thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. Physical Demand DescriptionThe following requirements also apply to any roles which will spend any time working in our plants or construction sites (all technician and operations roles, most engineering roles, and many other roles):
Ability to work in outdoor environments (example: hot sun, cold, wind, rain, crawl spaces, etc.). Stop work will be called when it is unsafe to work.
Position may require working at heights including; climbing ladders/equipment, stairs, elevators, and working on scissor lifts.
Capable of performing repetitive duties including; lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods of time.
Experience using basic hand and power tools safely.
