Our client is a highly experienced operator with several successful venues throughout New South Wales, including this iconic rural gem.
Holding its own in an area famous for its food & wine and consistently drawing a crowd on weekends with its live entertainment, this quintessential country venue combines both pub downstairs, and upmarket cocktail bar above. It has long been a favourite with locals and tourists, alike.
The owner is looking for an experienced senior manager to take over the operation, manage a strong leadership team and make this role their own.
Job Description
This role, reporting directly to the owner will see you functioning as the face of the venue, liaising with a broad spectrum of patrons and ensuring their return business. As the General Manager, you will be fully responsible for the management of daily tasks within the venue including; driving marketing initiatives, stock control, licensing, compliance, financials, staff training and of course, an impeccable level of customer service.
You will have the opportunity for input with some small renovations in the pipeline and the owner is seeking a General Manager who can collaborate with all stakeholders to enhance current offerings, as well as driving new ones.
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role you will have:
Experience as a General Manager in a similar setting, or A strong 2IC/Operations Manager, ready for a step up Experience in a similar role within a bustling, fast-paced venue Strong management skills and the ability to lead a team Full understanding of compliance regulations across food, beverage and gaming A love for industry trends and rolling out new ideas This role is based in Mudgee, New South Wales, offering a very strong remuneration package comprised of an excellent base salary and is open to applicants requiring relocation, with temporary accommodation available as part of the package
