Job DescriptionYour next career opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate General Manager, Health Services. This is a strategic leadership role within the organisation, reporting directly to the CEO.
As General Manager, Health Services you will have responsibility for leading on the implementation of the organisational strategy for the Health Services segment while providing exceptional leadership to the broader Health Services team. You will have operational responsibility for overseeing the effective implementation and continuous development of our current services and driving the development of new service offerings that meet the unmet needs and aspirations of people living with blood cancer. In addition to this, you will be a key member of the Executive team and work collaboratively across all segments to ensure the strategic objectives are met.
This is a full time permanent position based out of our Fortitude Valley office in Brisbane. The Leukaemia Foundation adopts a hybrid working model; therefore, it is expected that the successful applicant will work on site 60% of their work week. There is flexibility around which days are worked on site, with the exception of Wednesdays, as all team members across the organisation are required to work on site on Wednesdays.
What we will trust you to: Oversee planning, implementation, and evaluation of services to Health Services in-line with the approved strategy.Lead the Health Services team to ensure safe, effective and efficient delivery of Services to Health Services and other key stakeholders in accordance with the organisation's values, strategic objectives and statutory requirements.Work with other members of the Executive to ensure all service delivery complies with WH&S requirements and a culture of safety is maintained.Develop and meet operational budgets as approved, and provide regular reporting to Executive, CEO and Board as required.Lead and manage a high performing Health Services management team.Provide quality advice to the CEO and Executive on emerging trends and key issues in the health environment as it relates to our organisation and our current/future service delivery.Build, promote and strengthen relationships with key external stakeholders including HCPs, and other Blood Cancer groups and organisations.Regularly evaluate and measure all programs and services to ensure they have a national approach, and are consistent, evidenced-based, effective and meet the needs of those affected by blood cancer.Work with information technology and digital team to establish systems for regular collection of data and reporting of indicators of care, care experiences via data capture, qualitative and quantitative approaches to continuously improve service delivery and support decision making.Working with relevant segments, drive a continuous improvement and development program for Health Services staff to ensure high performance and skills needed to achieve the strategic objectives.Does this sound like you?
