Are you eager to make a meaningful impact with an Australian legacy?This leading sports body is dedicated to promoting the game at all levels, from grassroots to elite competitions. Its mission is to drive the growth and development of this sporting code, ensuring it remains inclusive, exciting, and accessible to all.In the lead-up to hosting a high-profile tournament, this fixed-term contract (to June 2026) requires the General Manager Finance to play a critical role in the tournament's success by partnering with the COO and CEO while overseeing finance, procurement, and IT.Key Responsibilities:Establish Financial Controls & Reporting: Set up financial processes, oversee month-end reporting, and manage financial reporting obligations.Finance Business Partnering: Lead the finance team, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making for the tournament.Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with the leadership team and CFO to refine the budget, prepare rolling forecasts, and maintain agility in financial planning.Lead Procurement and IT: Lead the team and oversee processes for procurement and IT.Key Criteria:CA/CPA qualified.Adaptable – ability to be hands-on but can quickly move to Executive discussions.Pragmatic – able to get things done and influence a wide set of stakeholders.Previous business stand-up or project management experience, establishing new systems & processes.Previous cross-functional leadership experience (Finance, Ops / Procurement, and IT).Energetic – drive a project from start to finish.Does this sound like you?
