Qualified Senior Mechanics – GDL Automotive Services - Warriewood and Hornsby Locations
GDL Automotive Services is a growing mechanical business with multiple locations across Sydney's Northern Beaches and North Shore. We are an expanding business. The positions currently available are for a Qualified Senior Mechanic at both our Warriewood and Hornsby locations. About the Role:
As the Senior Mechanic and diagnostic expert, you will be required to perform all repairs and servicing of most makes and models of Australian, European, Japanese & Korean vehicles. This role is for an experienced technician who is able to carry out repairs and maintenance without supervision. Experience with Stellantis and Mopar products is preferred.
This position is not for a service technician. This role requires complex and advanced diagnostic and repairs, and will require extensive experience and expertise in these areas.
Duties and Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair of advanced and complex mechanical faults Quality control and inspection of vehicles Test driving of vehicles Extensive and complex diagnostics (both mechanical and electrical) Ensure all vehicles meet the quality repair standards Major mechanical repairs including engine replacements, transmissions (both automatic and manual), timing chains, timing belts, cylinder head gaskets, etc. Skills and Experience: 10 years minimum experience on top of Certificate III equivalent Excellent knowledge of vehicle maintenance, electrical and diagnostic work Understanding of automotive workshop processes Rego stamp is held Air conditioning license required The successful applicant must: Have a current and valid tradesperson license issued by the department of fair trading (white card) Have (or be eligible to obtain) a current NSW Motor Mechanics Trade License Hold a current NSW driver's license Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to read & write in English Have own tools What's on Offer: Be part of a well-established business A reputable safe working environment with some of the best equipment in the industry Work with highly skilled, experienced and passionate teams in an ever-changing industry Great working conditions Join a customer service-focused team that drives results Excellent salary + super Training available when required Ample parking Uniform supplied If you believe you possess the required skills to be part of our team and are seeking a long-term role where your efforts will truly be rewarded, please APPLY with your current resume and a cover letter, highlighting your relevant experience to .
