Our client, a global financial services group with a focus on Alternative Investments, is looking to recruit a Finance Manager. Based in their Sydney CBD office, we are seeking a suitably experienced Finance Manager to operate in partnership with the Leadership team & Asset Managers.You will report directly to the VP Finance and have responsibility for the review of all finance reporting and oversight of property and fund accounting requirements for clients.This is a newly created role within the organisation, providing an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior management and join this established market leader, with deep-rooted connections across the market.With the potential to grow and support the business through strategic decision-making, this role will offer the right individual exceptional career development.Key responsibilities will include:Private Equity Fund Accounting review;Financial analysis and reporting;Managing the annual budgeting process;Managing the monthly re-forecasting and reporting processes including variance analysis;Constructing financial models and tools for management decisions and controls;Assisting with financial modelling and analysis on property acquisitions;Liaise with external auditors and tax accountants regarding the preparation of tax returns;Skills and experience:Private Equity and/or Fund accounting experience (essential);Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally CA / CPA qualified along with relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting;Strong experience in analysis and reporting;Working knowledge of accounting standards and regulations, legislation, and management accounting techniques;Demonstrated high level of organisational skill and ability to work under pressure, to deadlines;Previous fund accounting experience preferred.You will have a solid background in financial services, PE and/or Infrastructure/Real Estate and be confident in a senior review role with the ability to multitask across a range of duties. You will also have the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with Executive, Property Management, Custodians, Board, and Investors.
