Fullstack Engineer (Java)

Project Overview: We are replacing one of our core systems and associated external applications with a new, modern software solution. This project will modernize our infrastructure and impact all IT teams. Our goal is to enhance the systems and services we develop, maintain, and support.

Key Project Objectives: Develop and support backend and frontend services usingJava 8/11/17, Spring Boot, ReactJS, etc., while maintaining standard products. The transition from a "point to point" interfacing approach to a modern integration layer with APIs, MuleSoft, Kafka topics, microservices patterns, Juniper Ingress/Egress patterns, or WMB EAI/MQ. Reduce testing costs through automation testing frameworks. Increase the Straight-Through-Processing (STP) capabilities of our services. Key Accountabilities: Develop, maintain, and support services using Java with Spring Boot. Manage the payment services portfolio hosted on both cloud and on-premises. Develop, maintain, and support service-related interfaces using APIs or microservices patterns. Utilize tools like Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, RTC, G3, and Nexus for artifact management and code release mechanisms. Follow Agile & DevOps methodologies and use Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint tools. Collaborate with Business Analysts and Project/Product Managers to understand business requirements and translate them into development sprints. Required Skills: Essential: Java 8+, Database technologies and SQL, ReSTful microservices and APIs. Preferable: Java 17+, Spring/Spring Boot, Oracle, experience in a DevOps delivery team, HTTP Web technologies, and ReactJS.
