We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, experienced Fresh Food Manager to join our team at IGA Youngtown on a full-time basis. We are looking for someone who is passionate about fresh food, has managed a produce department, and can work with the Management Team to grow the Fresh Food departments and ultimately the supermarket.
Key Responsibilities: Stock management, including ordering to sales, the ability to plan & merchandise products to a high standard.Ability to build strong, prosperous relationships with our suppliers.Manage the rotation of stock, wastage, shrinkage, and quality control.Knowledge of retail operations including opening/closing of supermarket, cash handling & the ability to follow WH&S & Food Safety regulations.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through quality offerings.Skills & Experience: We are looking for someone who has previous experience in fresh produce departments within a retail environment. Someone who has:
A passion to succeed.A positive mindset with a love of food & people.An ability to work independently as well as part of a team.The skills to prioritize & thrive under pressure.Efficient and able to work quickly.A sound knowledge of food safety standards.Ideally, the successful candidate will hold a Food Supervisors Certificate or be willing to obtain this at the beginning of their employment.
