This operation is based in Whyalla, South Australia. The FOTB Assistant Operations Manager may be called upon to perform the duties of CCR Operator or Loadmaster.In addition, the FOTB Assistant Operations Manager will provide the necessary support to the Operations Manager and will assist in:Ensuring the safety of the barges and crew;Maintenance of safety and emergency equipment and procedures;Maintenance and control of deck equipment;Liaising with external agencies, service providers, and suppliers;The efficient operation of cargo loading and discharging operations in accordance with AVMS and customer contract requirements;Management of Central Control Room operations;Preparing and maintaining transshipment records.About youEducational requirement: junior deck officer background with experience in transhipment operations (preference)Expired qualifications/no aspirations to return to a seagoing vesselMSIC Card (required or ability to obtain)Current AMSA Medical (required or ability to obtain)If this sounds like the role for you, we would love to hear from you!
