We're seeking a dedicated Network Switching and Outage Coordinator to join our small but dynamic team.In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing, planning, and coordinating planned transmission outages and associated switching programs. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that network switching is carried out in a timely, safe, and efficient manner. In this role you'll:Proactively manage and coordinate outages, including preliminary security assessments and ensuring accurate information in outage schedules.Prepare, check, and process switching programs in accordance with industry standards.Provide technical advice and support to the Network Switching Writer, customers, and other internal teams.Contribute to the effectiveness of the Outage Planning team and overall network operations performance.About YouTo be successful in this role, you'll need:5 years' experience in the electricity industry as an electrical trade skilled worker.Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (desirable)A solid understanding of transmission, electrical power system equipment, and high voltage switching.Strong analytical, investigation, risk management, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience in safety, technical, and operational management of major infrastructure, preferably in electricity transmission networks.The ability to coordinate, negotiate, and influence key stakeholders and customers.At ElectraNet, we recognise that your potential extends beyond our qualifications.
