Statement from a Current Youth WorkerJust as I have grown alongside the organisation, I've grown alongside the young people we support.
The bonds forged through shared experiences, the laughter, the challenges, and the triumphs have all contributed to a profound sense of connection.
Each step of the journey has etched lessons into my heart that textbooks and classrooms could never impart. My driving force, my passion, has always been centred around shattering the stigma that clings to young people in out-of-home care.
This mission has led me to stretch my creativity and venture beyond conventional boundaries.
I'm incredibly fortunate to have leaders who not only believe in this mission but also encourage me to think innovatively.
Their support allows me to orchestrate remarkable experiences for the young individuals we support from theme park adventures to simple yet profound moments at the park.
Among these cherished memories, the school runs hold a special place in my heart.
The simple act of sharing a ride and engaging in unhurried conversations has revealed the depth of these young lives.
It's in these ordinary moments that the extraordinary stories of resilience, dreams, and aspirations unfold.
These encounters underscore the power of genuine human connection, a force that transcends titles and roles. With immense pride I look at my own journey but also in the collective efforts of my leaders, colleagues, and the young people themselves.
Each individual who has walked contributed to the mosaic that now defines my life and many other lives journey.
This organisation has been more than just a workplace; It's been a canvas for my dreams and aspirations, and a platform to champion change for the young lives we support.
I am excited to continue my mission - to challenge stigmas, to create meaningful connections, and to empower the young individuals who deserve nothing less than a chance to shine. To apply To apply for this position please click the Apply Button.
