Our Planning and Future Networks Section are looking for a dedicated and collaborative Forecasting Analyst who can work with various data sources to solve challenging problems and provide new insights into the management of Evoenergy's electrical infrastructure.
In this role, you will analyse data and build models to understand the current and future state of Evoenergy's electrical network load and capacity.
What we are offering: Salary starting at $143,896.00 plus 16% Superannuation Free gym membership + onsite physio 2x fulltime positions, (1x ongoing and 1x fixed term) Key responsibilities: Develop and maintain medium and long-term demand forecasts for network planning and National Electricity Market purposes using a combination of internal analysis and third-party software.
Use modelling to analyse and identify potential constraints in the electrical network.
Analyse and report on historical demand information and produce necessary information for key reports.
Establish and maintain a demand and capacity dashboard for key network components to be used for network planning.
Write effective reports, policies and guidelines to influence the strategic direction of the organisation.
Maintain awareness of alternative sources of energy, demand growth and energy consumption trends as well as associated technical, economic and business trends.

You have tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Data Science.
You have experience in using R or a similar statistical software package and are willing to embrace any new systems and technology as required.
You enjoy problem solving and can gather and analyse the right information to identify symptoms, causes and the right people to involve in solution development and implementation.
You have effective communication skills and can translate complex information and issues into meaningful and practical advice.
