Austin is looking for a qualified Fitter.
Location: Perth, Western Australia / Mackay, Queensland
Responsibilities:- Read and interpret drawings and specifications.- Use various tools and machinery to assist in the assembly of a wide range of bulk material handling equipment such as conveyors, feeders, and crushers.- Fit and assemble metal parts to fabricated production machines and other equipment.- Use a range of tools and engineering techniques to maintain and repair mobile and fixed mechanical plant and equipment to operational standards.- Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.- Adhere to and promote Workplace Health & Safety regulations.- Report any hazardous situations and be aware of responsibility in the event of an emergency.- Report any items requiring maintenance.- Ensure that safety precautions are adhered to when using equipment.- Access and complete Job Risk Assessments.
Minimum Requirements:- Trade certifications and qualifications.- Proven experience working as a fitter.- Proactive attitude with the desire to work reliably as part of an outstanding team.- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints.- Ability to use hand and power tools.- Strong attention to detail and the ability to conduct quality checks on completed work.- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks.- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills.- Self-motivated, organised, punctual, and reliable.- Must have great work ethics.
