A great opportunity for a Fitter to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Kapooka, near Wagga Wagga NSW As a Fitter you will use your highly detailed workmanship to inspect, repair, and recondition military hardware.
As a qualified Fitter and Armourer or Fitter and Turner , it will be your responsibility to provide direct embedded support and teamwork with Defence and Defence training activities to ensure hardware is functional and training objectives are achieved.
Benefits • $34.05 - $40.87 an hour inclusive of allowances, based on qualifications and skills • Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday • 1 x RDO, every 4 weeks • Training & Upskilling provided • Relocation assistance for the right candidate • Work on unique Defence vehicle and assets • 17.5% Annual Leave Loading • All tools, PPE and Uniforms provided • On-site Parking About the role • Perform maintenance, servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on military hardware and Defence armaments • Safely operate machinery to repair, manufacture or modify required parts • Certify plant and equipment as serviceable and fit for purpose • Provide occasional support to various Defence Bases across the state assisting with Armory maintenance.

About you • Possess a Trade Certificate III Engineering Mechanical (Fitter & Turner) or Certificate III Engineering Mechanic (General Fitter) • Hold valid Australian Driver's License • MR of HR License - Desirable • Physically fit and enjoy hands-on work • You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance About Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
