Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Business Traineeship Opportunity NECA Education and Careers, in partnership with the Victorian State Government, is seeking a motivated individual to join a dynamic team within State Government.
The Youth Employment Scheme (YES) offers young people a 12-month, entry-level position in the Victorian Public Service while completing accredited training (Certificate III in Business). YES Traineeships blend on-the-job training with formal education, providing you with valuable work experience as you pursue your qualification.
What You Will Be Doing: Based in the Melbourne CBD Office, your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating and organising meetings, preparing agendas, booking venues, and documenting and distributing meeting minutes and action items.Assisting in drafting and reviewing documents, managing communication between departments and stakeholders, and preparing necessary reports.Promptly responding to enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.Maintaining records and files to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.Performing routine office tasks such as data entry, managing office supplies, and handling additional administrative duties as requested.About You: Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander   A willingness to learn, with strong organisational and time management skills.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesCapability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while working under strict deadlines, with guidance from supervisorsAll applicants will undergo a National Police History Check.This traineeship is a Victorian State Government YES funded position and must comply with YES traineeship eligibility.
