Job Details:Job Summary: This role is responsible for the consolidation and management of reporting, forecasting and budgeting for Cubic APAC. This role will provide analysis and reporting which has the objective to enhance and facilitate decision making within the APAC business. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Develop forecasting and budgeting tools and processes to be rolled out to the business to enable timely and accurate forecasting and budgeting.Work with the Finance director and other management stakeholders to develop a local management reporting framework and management reports to meet reporting requirements.Manage and produce reporting including monthly management reporting packs for APAC and for US.Manage the consolidation of financial information in order to meet the local and global businesses forecast and outlook reporting cycles.Facilitate and participate in the review of business performance for APAC.Determine key drivers of the business and advise on reporting of key reporting metrics to enable better decision making and drive performance.Analyse monthly and quarterly finance results and provide commentary on the business to enable decision making and monthly reporting.Analyse and provide key data in order to meet ad hoc information requests.Work with sales/ finance / HR / facilities / contracts teams to manage and maintain key data used in forecasting / budgeting and report.Be the key interface for global business information systems.Work with the sales and marketing team to forecast and maintain consistency between Salesforce and regional business plans, outlook and forecasts.Manage the Analyst responsible for maintaining and managing forecasting and financial systems for the region.Provide accounting support, budgeting and forecasting for corporate and overhead departments.General Duties and Responsibilities: Comply with Cubic's Quality Management System.Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures.Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisations.Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures.Other duties as requested.Minimum Job Requirements: Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business / commerce or economics.CPA or MBA or equivalent experience.Skills/Experience/Knowledge: Essential: 10 years' experience in a management accounting / business analyst role and have managed reporting into an overseas parent entity.Ability to coach and openly share knowledge and experiences.Advanced Excel modelling.Experience with Power Point.Experience with Business Objects or similar business information systems.Experienced in using and or managing various ERP / reporting packages.Experience with using a CRM such as Salesforce/Microsoft Dynamics.Demonstrated initiative and ownership for assigned tasks.Demonstrated ability in implementing new processes.Desirable: Experience with US GAAP and SOX.Personal Qualities: Attention to detail with the ability to understand the detail and identify areas for business improvement.Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with an ability to present well.Self-motivated and proactive decision maker, able to work unsupervised.Excellent interpersonal skills and understanding of project based organisations.Exceptional time management.Exceptional ability to lead and mentor team.Logical approach to problem solving.Prioritise and able to cope with change and conflicting demands.Condition of Employment: Successful outcome of a National Police Check.
