About the RoleApollo Fabrication is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth and expansion and are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to manage the financial health of our Steel Fabrication Projects business. This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to step into a leadership role, with a pathway into the CFO position.
In this role, you will oversee budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and project-based cost tracking. You'll collaborate closely with the external CFO, management, and project teams to deliver financial insights that support key business decisions. As the Financial Controller, you will initially be hands-on with financial processes to gain a deep understanding of the business operations, while also mentoring a Finance Administrator responsible for day-to-day reconciliations and AR/AP tasks.
Key Responsibilities:Lead the preparation of monthly financial reports including P&L, Balance Sheet, and cash flow.Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, including monthly budget variance reporting.Support project managers with cost tracking, invoicing, and financial management of contracts.Provide strategic financial insights to drive business performance and profitability.Oversee and mentor the Finance Administrator, ensuring accuracy in reconciliations and AR/AP management.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and liaise with auditors and tax advisors.What You'll Bring:CA or CPA qualification required.Minimum 7 years of experience in financial management, ideally in a project-based industry.Strong project accounting and cost control skills.Hands-on experience with Premier Construction or similar ERP systems.Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial reporting software.A proactive attitude, with the willingness to engage in financial processes and detail.Why Join Us?Apollo Fabrication offers an exciting, growth-oriented environment where your contributions will directly impact the success of the business.
