The location holds our warehousing, manufacturing, laboratory testing and office environments. The Lane Cove site hosts 130 employees and supports the health of Australians by supplying over 65 medicines in critical therapeutic areas.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced, motivated Financial Controller, who will report to the Chief Financial and Corporate Services Officer. The role available is a newly created management role and will be responsible for leading a small team and will work closely and collaboratively with all other functions across the business to ensure financial accuracy, governance and to help identify improvements to our operating system.Key performance areas include (but are not limited to):Contribute to the achievement of the short to longer-term financial targets and objectives of the business into agreed financial policies and plans.Ensure all Finance policies are up to date and effectively communicated.Direct the preparation of all necessary financial reports for management and statutory requirements.Direct the timely preparation and payment of required taxation liabilities and reporting including GST, Payroll Tax, Company Income Tax, Withholding Tax, FBT, etc.Maintain a regular review of income and expenditure to ensure cash flow is adequate to meet future business needs.Supervise maintenance of the company chart of accounts.Direct the preparation of required regular reports of liquidity, profit and loss, debtors/creditors, sales and capital expenditure, including the preparation of related management information material.Liaise, as required, with the organisation's key external partners including, but not limited to, external and internal auditors, bankers, lawyers, overseas affiliates, supply chain partners, etc.Produce sophisticated commercial financial planning models, reports and forecasts which challenge & strengthen business decision-making processes.Who are we looking for?Our ideal candidate would be someone who can think outside of the box, be pragmatic and solutions-oriented and who is agile and flexible in approach as well as having the following capabilities and skills:5+ years' experience working within senior financial accounting and reporting experience and/or medium to large accounting firm or profit-generating enterprise.Experience within the Pharmaceutical Industry is desirable or experience within a manufacturing environment.Experience working with SAP or SAP B1 is desirable.ACA or CPA Qualified.Qualifications (bachelor's degree minimum) within Commerce, and/or Accounting/Finance.Audit, taxation and compliance knowledge.Thorough understanding of risk management, compliance and assurance frameworks.Stakeholder engagement – bottom to top – with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Intermediate to advanced level skills in the day-to-day use of typical Microsoft programs (including SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), with strong technical skills with Excel.Full working rights in Australia are essential – if you have a temporary visa please address subclass and expiry during your application.What we can offer youWe offer a competitive base salary depending on experience and suitability with the above requirements.Additional employee benefits include:Annual discretionary bonus, based on individual and company performance.Novated lease administration options.Free parking at work.Annual paid volunteer day to assist a charity of your choice.Access to free annual flu vaccinations.Training and development opportunities.If the above role sounds like something you may enjoy, and you would like to apply please send through a resume and cover letter by clicking on "apply now" and our People & Culture Manager, Kelly Lawrence, will be in contact to discuss your application should your application be shortlisted.Phebra is an equal opportunities employer.
