Financial Accountant - Risk Specialist

25th September, 2024Our client is a highly regarded independent co-educational school in Sydney. We have a great job opportunity for an experienced Risk professional with the right drive, energy, and focus to act as a change partner in implementing strategies.Primary responsibilities include:End to end management of the risk function, including mapping key financial risk controls and developing a strong risk metric.Conduct audits to verify the financial statements of the company, auditing the financial statements along with the management of internal controls and presenting report findings.Assist in providing management of the organisation's financial reporting and development of annual budgets and forecasts.Conduct gap analysis audits and report findings.Management of the Operation Risk function.Qualifications and background:Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field.Inquisitive by nature and able to deal with board-level stakeholders.CA or CPA qualified is beneficial.Minimum 4 years management experience across risk, compliance, and financial analysis.This role is initially a short-term contract, but for the right candidate, there is potential for an extension.
