Your new position:
As the Finance Systems Manager, you will be leading a small team and responsible for overseeing and enhancing the financial systems that support the operations of the Finance function and the greater organisation. You will manage the development and integrity of financial systems, ensuring compliance with financial controls and lead the technological path when it comes to adopting and growing the use of AI and other useful tools into the organisation. Key technical responsibilities include:
Managing and optimising financial applications and system interfaces to support organisational operations and strategic initiatives.Ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of financial data across all financial systems.Leading and participating in projects that drive innovation, efficiency, and automation within financial processes.Developing and implementing effective training programs to improve user competency in finance systems.Collaborating with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration and functionality of finance systems with other organisational systems.Identifying and addressing technical issues and opportunities for system enhancements to improve performance and compliance.Monitoring and maintaining system performance, conducting regular audits, and implementing necessary updates and upgrades.
About you:
A relevant degree with a major in accounting or IT, with CPA or CA status highly desirable.Extensive experience and technical knowledge in financial reporting and financial systems. Ideally, you would have started your career in accounting and then developed a passion for systems.Proven expertise in managing and optimising financial business applications and continuous improvement initiatives.Strong large systems experience (Oracle).Excellent communication skills to articulate complex financial concepts to non-technical staff.Strong leadership abilities and a track record of achieving high client satisfaction.
