The division provides financial and management advice and support to the department, the offices of the minister and assistant ministers and to industry stakeholders.
The division delivers on business objectives through the provision of high-quality customer service, advice and support and a nationally consistent approach to business, with consideration to the government's tight fiscal environment, its significant reform agenda and the department's imperative to maintain financial sustainability.
The Financial Services Branch administers policies, provides quality advice and a high standard of service in a range of functions including travel, credit cards, procurement, grants, accounts payable, accounts receivable, appropriation management, insurance, financial policy, and reporting.
The Job Accounts Payable Responsibilities Manage multiple competing priorities in a high-volume environment to enable issues to be resolved and invoices paid on a timely basis. Work effectively within a geographically dispersed AP team to ensure services are delivered to a high standard. Process AP and vendor transactions ensuring accurate and timely data entry. Cultivate and promote productive working relationships with stakeholders, clients, and colleagues both internal and external to the Department. Contribute to continuous business improvement.
