Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term Contract until June 2025Start Date: ImmediateReports to: CFOWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our client's team in Lismore. Our client is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation committed to delivering exceptional service and support to the community.The Role:As the Finance Officer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts receivable process. This includes ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies. You will play a crucial role in supporting our client's financial operations.Key Responsibilities:Manage and monitor accounts receivable processes.Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions.Communicate with clients to address and resolve billing issues.Prepare regular reports on account status and collection activities.Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.Assist in month-end closing and reporting activities.Requirements:Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.High level of integrity and professionalism.If you are a proactive and reliable professional with a passion for finance, we would love to hear from you.
