About us: The Finance Department plays an integral role in the effective management of the finance function for the Hospital and Health Service. This position professionally reports to the Manager Financial Accounting within the Corporate Finance Team and the Manager of Management Accounting. About the role: This role is part of the Financial Accounting Team, reporting to the Manager Financial Accounting and provides efficient and effective Financial Accounting Services to clients. These clients are serviced by the Financial Accounting Unit while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, approved policies and procedures, and agreed standard service specifications and performance standards. Produce and process end of month accounts, including journals, costings, accruals, and reconciliations.Assist the Manager Financial Accounting in regard to the management of compliance issues for the Hospital and Health Services (including but not limited to, Financial Management Practice Manual and other associated internal controls). About you: While not mandatory, an accounting degree or similar qualification would be well regarded.Obtain interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, negotiation, consultation, and communication skills to act in a senior leadership role and as an advisor with the ability to build and maintain effective collaboration relationships with internal and external stakeholders and health service partners with demonstrated ability to both participate in a working environment and work autonomously.High level analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to produce reports and analyse evidence to provide advice on revenue performance, policies, strategies, and solutions with a commitment to achieving outcomes.
