Reporting directly to the CFO, as Financial Controller you will grow and lead a small finance team who has a significant role to play in the direction of the business.You will enjoy a varied role working across the business and working with the members of the Senior Leadership Team to help identify areas of opportunity, growth and improvement.This position will be based either from our Chermside or Maroochydore campus and will also have work from home flexibility.RESPONSIBILITIESOverall responsibility for the day-to-day finance function.Responsible for timely end of month completion and board reporting.Operational reporting, leading to working with the CEO and members of the Senior Leadership Team and provide insights and direction to the business to support operational decision-making.Budgeting and forecasting with the CFO.Treasury functions.Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, compliance requirements, and tax laws to ensure the organisation's adherence to relevant rules and regulations, including specific requirements pertaining to RTOs and government funding for RTOs.Continuously improve financial systems and processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and productivityManagement of the payroll function.Lead the audit and financial statements for the Group's RTOs and consolidated entity.REQUIREMENTS2-3 years' + experience in a similar role, ideally with experience with consolidation and reporting in group structures.Professional Accounting qualifications either CA or CPA.Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience leading a finance team and managing a workforce remotely to meet deadlines.Real desire to work within the business and with different leaders and departments and add value through understanding of the operations.ABOUT YOU:Strong interpersonal and communication skills and you can effectively engage with staff at all levels of the business, students and prospective clients.You are able to manage and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with competing priorities and rapid changeYou enjoy collaborating within a team, using data to inform decisions that support business objectives and bringing people on the journey with data.You are a team player, who is willing to support team members operationally, as well as lead strategicallyYou have the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all deadlines.How to ApplyTo apply please use Seek's
