Job Description
We are looking for a candidate to join the team based in Sydney. The candidate will work primarily on the Synergis Fund and Social Infrastructure Investment Partners. Synergis is an unlisted, open-ended disability housing trust designed to invest in housing for people living with disability across Australia. Synergis Fund is managed by Social Infrastructure Investment Partners, an investment management company jointly owned by Social Ventures Australia and Federation Asset Management. The candidate will primarily be responsible for:
Synergis Fund

Reviewing and approving monthly NAV packs prepared by the fund administrator.
Review and management of general ledger reconciliations.
Analysis and approval of monthly unit price calculations.
Reviewing and approving quarterly BAS returns.
Reviewing and approving weekly payments.
Reviewing the annual financial statements.
Leading the annual audit process.
Liaising with external service providers such as (but not limited to) fund administrators, external trustee, tax advisers, external auditors, and legal advisers.
Assisting the broader Synergis team with adhoc requests, as required.

Social Infrastructure Investment Partners

Maintenance of accounting records in XERO for Social Infrastructure Investment Partners (SIIP).
Assistance with budgeting and forecasting.
Credit card payments.
Management fee calculations.
BAS and Tax reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

Accounting experience: Qualified accountant with 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting role in Real Estate. Prior experience in funds management or fund administration preferred.
Professional and high-level communication skills: Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, ensuring clear and effective interactions with all stakeholders.
Self-Starter with initiative: Proactively takes ownership of tasks and deliverables, showing the ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
Technical proficiency: Demonstrate excellent skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with Yardi is preferable but not necessary.
Analytical and strategic: thinker with quality focus and strong attention to detail.
Cultural fit: Aligns well with the team and embodies the values and culture of Federation, contributing positively to the workplace environment.
