Reporting and working closely with the CFO, you will have the opportunity to work on a vast range of accounting responsibilities including:Leading and mentoring the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Collaborating with the leadership team to drive operational efficiency and profitability.Lead the preparation of monthly reporting packs.Financial and management reporting including management/Board and statutory reporting.Oversight of the financial operations.Responsible for the month-end closing.Preparation and monitoring of the budget and forecasting.Cash flow budgeting and management.Compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.Engaging with various stakeholders, insurance brokers, lawyers, banks, and external auditors.Analysing financial data and providing insights to support decision-making at all levels.Day-to-day oversight of the internal controls.Your Qualification, Knowledge, and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA preferred.Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a Finance Manager or senior finance role.Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and risk management.Solid knowledge and skills in Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS; local legislation & local fiscality, accounting controlling methods & tools, and accounting analysis.Experience in the engineering/manufacturing and service industry is preferred but not essential.Experience working in a matrix environment (local company reporting overseas) and/or SME is preferred.Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferable).Proficient with Office suite of products (Excel, Word and Outlook).Skills required:Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.Methodical approach and attention to detail.Good technical skills and proficiency in accounting software and Excel.General business knowledge to understand the big picture.Mathematical and numerical aptitude.Good communication skills for effectively liaising with non-financial professionals in other departments.Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise successfully.You will also be involved in reviewing local financial management systems, policies, processes, and controls to be efficient and effective, and establishing the best practice.Flender offers an environment where high performance is rewarded and avenues for growth are encouraged and nurtured.Flender is an equal opportunity employer, creating a work environment of diversity and inclusion which helps us fully realise the potential of our people.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a finance manager?How many years of accounting experience do you have?Do you have experience completing ad hoc and month end reporting?How many years' experience do you have with forecasting for businesses?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?What's your expected annual base salary?
