The innovative services and products of the Goldschmidt Group contribute towards lengthening the life cycle of rail tracks, sustainably improving their safety, reducing their running costs and increasing the comfort of travelers and residents near to rail tracks through noise reduction.The Goldschmidt Group has built up an international network with 20 subsidiaries and established a large network of co-operation partners in order to be able to offer customised products and services to customers all around the world using different railway systems.Your new roleReporting to the Managing Director and liaising regularly with Group, you will manage the financial resources of the company. You will also support the Managing Director by offering insights, financial and commercial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company; you will support the implementation of Goldschmidt group strategy on a local levelAs part of the executive management team your will lead the Finance & Administration functions and have additional responsibilities managing HR and insurances. You will be instrumental in enabling the company to achieve operational and strategic objectives.In detail you willPrepare the Financials for discussions with the Managing DirectorGenerate all Month End Reports for Thermit Australia and Thermit NZ and consolidation for groupAnalysis of EOM Financials and suggestions of potential adjustments including review of accrualsPreparation of company budgets, forecasts and plans and preparation of variance analysisConduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunitiesAdministration of investments, capital expenditure and fixed assets.Management of cost accounting including inventory review and revaluations on standard costingsOversee the administration of payroll including software and updates required for salaries and wagesAuthorise domestic and overseas bank transfersApprove purchase requisitions in accordance with limitsReview and approval of credit applications, supplier agreements and contractsPerform Company Secretary and Public Officer duties and obligations for Thermit AustraliaSales and Tender AdministrationReview LC and Export DocumentationPreparation of Bid Bonds, Security Bonds and performance BondsAssist in commercial and financial aspect of supply agreements to customersSales quotation review and approvals in alignment with delegation of authorityReview and calculation of sales pricing for contracts and list prices on a periodic basisSales reporting including new products, country analysis, item analysis and customersAdministration and maintenance of Sales predictor program and modificationsInsurance renewals, policy updates and administrationManagement and oversight of accounts receivable including overseas receivables payments and credit limitsManagement and oversight AP including PO review and approvals, payment authorisation and the review and cost reduction in relation to Vendor/SuppliersIT AdministrationManagement of the Banking relationshipManagement of bank accounts, credit cards, bank approvals, payment approvals, beneficiary setups, user setup, access and authority limitsAuthorise all bank payments and transfers as either the primary or second approver (depending on payment type).Cashflow management, forecasting and reporting on a monthly and weekly basisWorking capital management and reportingManagement of statutory, regulatory, compliance and taxation requirementsASIC reporting requirementsAudit preparation and administration on an annual basis with local auditors and consolidated group reportingWhat you need to succeedThis is a great role for an experienced financial professional who can demonstrate recent experience in a similar role. You have proven ability to work in partnership with Executive teams providing strategic financial direction and advice while delivering a well-managed finance operation which effectively supports the organisation.University degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business ManagementAccounting & Controlling Expert with cross-functional competences including interfacing with Sales and OperationsThorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures in Australian GAAP, experience with creating and managing financial statements and month-end/year-end closing processes, inclusively reporting in an international Group GAAPExperience in production controlling / cost accounting in an industrial production businessExperience in the revision and optimisation of production controlling structures, cost calculation and the implementation & enhancement of internal key figures and key performance indicators.Experience in treasury and steering administrational functionsStrong ERP competencies especially in the implementation and integration of business process structures and standards in ERP structures. Experience with Business Central would be an advantage.Experience working in an international Corporate Group management structureGoal and result driven innovative professional with pragmatic hands-on and leadershipPassion to implement internal standards, processes and guidelinesExperience in industrial / manufacturing organisations preferredVery strong analytical skills, conceptual and structured thinkingWhat you'll get in returnThis is a great opportunity to work for a global organisation where you can add value with your expertise.
