Xtreme Engineering specialises in all aspects of construction, fabrication, installation, maintenance, erection, onshore and offshore construction, demolition projects, shutdowns and maintenance services.
As we continue to grow our client base locally, regionally and nationally we are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant with strong financial acumen to join our Leadership team.
You will have a demonstrated track record of driving change, creating enhanced value in a dynamic business environment and be effective in leading an engaged team to deliver quality outcomes.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Gladstone, Queensland.

The Role:
Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, overseeing day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
Manage the accounting and tax functions of the business.
Monitor budget performance throughout the year of the business as a whole and individual projects.
Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, and drive profitability.
Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, external accountants and regulatory authorities.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
Provide detailed financial reports to the Leadership team.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA, CPA, or CA preferred).
Proven experience as a Finance Controller or in a similar senior finance role.
Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills.
Experience in managing a team.
Committed to the role as a trusted advisor and helping lead the business as it continues its growth.
Advanced user of financial software and systems, MYOB Advanced preferred.
