TerraCom Limited (ASX: TER) is an Australian based mining resources company with a global footprint, comprising a large portfolio of operating assets in Australia and South Africa within the coal sectors. We are a renowned low-cost producer focused on delivering exceptional outcomes from our high yielding asset portfolio for investors. TerraCom owns and operates the Blair Athol Coal Mine, its flagship operation in the Central Queensland coal fields.
We are growing and recently signed a cooperation agreement with Chinese energy giant Wintime Energy Group Co. Ltd to jointly develop and operate the Moorlands Thermal Coal Project as a satellite operation situated less than 15 kms from Blair Athol.

Based in our new Brisbane City Headquarters, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Manager who is ready for their next career step to take on this role, which will entail but is not limited to:
Responsible for Group month-end closing process working with team members in both Australia and South Africa.Lead the corporate finance function including the Group consolidation process, preparation of management accounts and financial statements.Complete cashflow and necessary disclosures for financial reporting purposes.Manage corporate financial and management reporting process on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly basis.Work closely with stakeholders including Company auditors, bankers and the Australian Taxation Office.Responsible for Group tax compliance including PAYGI, PAYGW, BAS, FBT, payroll tax.Perform continuous assessment of the financial close process and recommend improvements to reduce the timing to close the financial period.What's on offer This exciting opportunity is a full-time role offered on a Monday to Friday working basis.Brisbane City Office location.An attractive salary package that reflects your skills and experience.Performance related bonus.Fast paced and flexible working environment, with access to training and mentoring from innovative leaders and established industry experts.What you can bring to the role To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking candidates with:
Completed CA or CPA qualifications.Previous extensive experience in preparing/reviewing statutory financial reports is essential as well as the ability to convert this experience to providing value and insight into the financial statements preparation process.Strong analysis and problem solving skills with the leadership ability to manage a small team.Excellent time management coupled with strong communication skills.Ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels.High energy and ability to work to tight deadlines as part of a dedicated team.A willingness to go above and beyond to contribute to the success of our Company.A team player with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.Proven ability to communicate effectively to drive positive outcomes with key stakeholders.Ideally, you'll also have:
Working knowledge of accounting software (such as Pronto or similar).Working knowledge of financial statement preparation software (such as Caseware, Thomson Reuters Onesource Accounts Production).Any industry experience/specialisation will be looked at favourably.At TerraCom, you're an essential part of our purpose: to turn raw potential into real progress.
