YOUR Next Employer is a dynamic, growing company based in Brisbane. Our client is looking for a talented Finance Manager to oversee their financial operations and contribute to the company's long-term success. This is a key leadership role where you'll play a critical part in developing and executing financial strategies, managing budgets, and providing valuable financial insights to guide business decisions.
YOUR Responsibilities:

Budget Oversight: Lead the development, management, and monitoring of the company's annual budget to ensure it aligns with the organisation's strategic goals.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed monthly and annual financial reports, including variance analysis, to evaluate financial performance and support decision-making.
Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow processes to ensure the business has sufficient liquidity to meet its financial obligations.
Collaboration with Departments: Partner with other department leaders to provide financial insights that guide operational decisions and strategic initiatives.
Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage financial risks, including assessing insurance coverage, credit risks, and potential liabilities.
Tax & Compliance Management: Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure the accurate and timely submission of tax filings and maintain compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

YOUR Experience & Qualifications:

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on financial improvements.
Experience in leading and mentoring a finance team to drive performance.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reports.
Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
Commercial experience in the trades or service industry is highly desirable.
