This will be a full-time permanent role based in our Sydney campus at The Rocks, with a hybrid work model for the right candidate.The RoleProviding high-level financial analysis and insights to drive effective decision-making and optimise financial performance, this opportunity will see you diving deep into the Institute's financial and operational data, uncovering opportunities for revenue generation and cost efficiencies. Through proactive engagement and collaboration with internal stakeholders, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of their business needs, translating data into actionable insights and providing insightful recommendations to maximise successful business outcomes.We are looking for someone who can unlock the full potential of our business by proactively identifying issues and providing recommendations for refining existing or developing new content; you will ensure that we leverage our resources optimally, and use your analytical thinking skills and attention to detail to grasp the University's broader strategic objectives, aligning your analyses accordingly.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting with month-end accounting processesAssisting with historic documents review, data collection, data entry and documents managementRegular reporting on student enrolments during three study periods and two semestersTimetabling analysis across teaching periodsMeeting regulatory obligations to the Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE)Assisting with undertaking analysis of business casesProviding exceptional customer service to both internal and external clientsYour Knowledge and ExperienceAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to utilise complex formulas and work with Xero and Salesforce for data manipulation and analysisAbility to prepare data summaries of high quality for inclusion in packs intended for reviews by the Board of DirectorsRelevant experience in providing commercial analysis within medium to large businesses; demonstrated ability to transform data into actionable insightsAbility to work flexibly, working on multiple projects with changing prioritiesAbility to make the complex simple for stakeholdersPostgraduate qualification in business, accounting, commerce, or data analytics (or progress toward)Current membership of a professional accounting body, such as a Certified Practicing Accountant or Chartered AccountantSelf-motivated, with a keen eye for detail, and committed to personal and professional developmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills, in addition to high-level interpersonal skillsAbout UsAIM is a place where music comes first and the only private tertiary college in Australia, solely focused on music.
