An opportunity exists for an experienced Safety Advisor at our remote camps throughout Australia - FIFO from your capital city. Reporting to the Senior WHS Advisor Projects and the National WHSE Manager, the successful candidate is responsible for monitoring and maintaining a comprehensive safety program that promotes a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. The Safety Advisor will work closely with management, employees, and contractors to identify and address potential safety hazards, and will serve as a resource for safety-related training and education.
Together with demonstrated experience in a similar role, we are seeking the following skills and experience:
A background in Construction is essential but some experience within the Mining and/or Transport industry will be idealAbility to build strong relationships across site with all workers and managementGeneral administration experience and skills to the capacity to undertake work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailExperience working within a hands-on safety role - minimum 2 yearsFormal qualifications in a related WHS/OHS areaExperience with auditing and self-insurance2/1 RosterWhat you will bring: Excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisational skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to work in a team environment Minimum Certificate IV in WHSCertificate IV in Training and Assessment with previous experienceHLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testingC Class Drivers LicenceProvide First Aid/CPR - current Experience working in remote and hot climatesSkills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and OutlookOnly candidates who meet the criteria and have the right to work in Australia will be considered.
