The Role
Ventia are seeking to engage a Field Supervisor to join our Telecommunications contract. Reporting to the Construction Manager for WA & NT, your primary responsibility is to coordinate and direct a team of up to 5 multi-disciplined trade-based personnel in support of project-based construction activities. Your workdays will consist of electrical installation, mentoring junior team members, leading a team, site supervision, and ensuring HSE compliance.

Key duties, but not limited to:
Conduct construction walk-outs, planning, scoping and activities to ensure that site works can be constructed efficiently in accordance with the construction plans and delivery schedule.
Lead and manage the internal workforce in construction activities of approved site works.
Engage with the workforce on their scope of works for construction and escalating any issues to the Field Manager as needed.
Pre-work and post-work paperwork submissions to be compiled.
Liaise with designers and logistics teams to ensure materials and equipment are readily available ahead of construction activities and escalate any critical stock deficiencies to the Field Manager in a timely manner.
Effectively balance project priorities while leading hands-on installations and providing mentorship and education to team members.
Skills & Experience:
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and regulations.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Experience using a range of work management systems and confident with the MS Suite.
Telecommunication (Telstra/Optus) knowledge is an advantage.
Previous experience supervising contractors.
