ABOUT THE POSITION:
Fluence Energy is a leading provider of cutting-edge battery energy storage solutions, dedicated to revolutionizing energy management. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Compliance Officer to join our team in the APAC – Australia region. As the Compliance Officer, you will play a central role in ensuring the seamless operation and administrative support of services for energy storage systems, ensuring that plant and personnel are optimized according to safety, contractual, regulation, and performance standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regulatory and Industry Compliance: Keep up to date and informed of existing and emerging industry standards, regulations, and laws associated with Fluence's products. Monitor and record the relevant aspects of service compliance for our team. Maintain, develop, and implement new strategies for Fluence Services, vendors, and industry partners to ensure compliance during operations. Have a strong understanding of the LTSA contracts to ensure Fluence meets the contract requirements.
Stakeholders Interface: Maintain strong relationships with industry bodies, other Fluence teams, customers, owners, and equipment vendors, participating in meetings and negotiations to ensure the timely resolution of compliance or performance issues and the development of plans and process to achieve those goals.
Training and Development: Produce and deliver services compliance and quality training programs for field staff awareness, working in coordination with Fluence technical and products training teams. Work with internal and external stakeholders to investigate and continuously improve compliance aspects of services and operations.
Standardization:
Work towards standardizing compliance and quality assurance processes for operational procedures across the region, promoting consistency and efficiency in field services.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain documents and reports on matters of industry compliance for Fluence. Including changes and potential optimizations for the Service team. Administer and report on Fluence Services work permitting processes for energy storage projects, ensuring all compliance requirements are met while streamlining schedules and project timelines.
EPC to LTSA Preparation
Work with the various stakeholders to prepare all documentation as set out in the EPC and LTSA contract in preparation for handover from the projects team into the LTSA team, whilst managing customer expectations.
Customer & Energy Market Operator: - Ability to interface with customers to explain technical issues and customer requests.
- Work with Service Managers and Field Service Engineers to propose BESS installations or improvements to meet customer or Market operator requirements. Support Services Managers and Field Service Engineers with compliance or regulation requests and queries.
Operational Support: - Provide support and expertise to our team of engineers, vendors, and contractors across the APAC region, acting as a reserve point of support for field services engineers encountering complex faults in our energy storage systems.
- NCC & NCRWork with FSE's and the Financial Services as well as Quality teams to support the non-conformance process in Australia and APAC services.
- Contractor Tendering and Management
- Working with the FSE's and Procurement teams to work on the selection of a suitable contractor to fulfil the LTSA contract requirements.
Data Analytics - Ensuring our reporting both internally and externally is quality checked against the LTSA contract and against our internal KPI needs to suitably manage the Services Business.
Commercial Support Ability to lead the development MSA (Maintenenace Service Agreement) with contractors to ensure Fluence is meeting requirements set out in the LTSA contract ensuring any potential LD's are mitigated and the MSA reflects the requirements of the LTSA and the business.
Qualifications: ·Bachelors degree in Science of equivalent
·Adept at technical writing and experience in compliance reporting
·Experience in contract management
·Strong ability to interpret technical documents to interpret complex regulatory requirements and develop practical compliance solutions.
·Strong need to work with documents control and provide management of documents associated with succesful delivery of contractual obligations.
·Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the abilty to interpret complex regulatroy and or contract requirements and develop practical solutions.
·Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive results in a fast paced environment.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
·Project management skill to lead stakeholders to consolidate commercial needs associated with contract and contractor management. Building MSA agreements working with several stakeholders including , services, legal and contractors.
·Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
·Experience in stakeholder management and negotiations
·Willingness to travel within the APAC region as needed.
