The Role: The Farm Manager leads and directs the farm work program to achieve operational targets.
You will be responsible for leading people, planning and promoting systems, preparation and management of irrigation, cropping, budgets, procedures and policies that enable achievement of operational targets while fostering a culture of teamwork, the highest standards of workplace health and safety, agronomic performance and attention to detail.
Responsibilities will include: Effectively manage and plan the farms operations.
Develop and implement irrigation schedules tailored to crop requirements.
Monitor and maintain irrigation infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance.
Develop people through coaching, mentoring and learning opportunities.
Allocate work, supervise, develop and coach to ensure the provision of efficient and effective operations in line with the Company Policies and legislation.
Plan, manage and implement the annual maintenance and capital improvement programs.
Develop and manage the environmental and natural resource programs.
You will possess the following skills and attributes: Exceptional organisational skills to oversee multiple aspects of farm operations.
In-depth knowledge of irrigation management, and compliance with regulations.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff and stakeholders.
Proficiency in budgeting and financial management for effective resource allocation.
In-depth knowledge of agricultural practices and compliance with regulations.
