About the Role We have an opportunity for an experienced Farm Manager to join our dynamic team.
This role will report to the proposed role of Regional Farm Manager and be responsible for the management of the Citrus Fresh farm.
You will have a strong background in farming and will be accountable for ensuring on-farm outcomes are achieved and all aspects of the operations are executed to the highest of standards.Understanding budgets and setting and achieving goals will be a key part of this role.
A willingness and commitment to work extra hours when required, particularly during the growing season is required.
This role may require local travel between farm sites.
Key Responsibilities: Responsible for all operational elements of the farm.Work with the Regional Farm Manager (proposed) to exceed daily customer expectations whilst also ensuring the produce portfolio is supported.Work closely with the role of Regional Farm Manager (proposed) to manage costs and capex within budget constraints.Ensure all farm assets and equipment are maintained in accordance with the standards and expectations of Nutrano Produce Group.Maintain organisational systems and procedures to ensure clean, safe and efficient operations as pertains to planning, quality, and logistics of the Farm.Continue to learn and develop farming best practises including horticultural practises.Ensure the farms achieve the operational targets required during the harvest period.Demonstrate leadership, support and provide direction for all staff.Ensuring safe work practices are always adhered with particular focus on orientation and inductions of casual and PALM staff.Key qualifications and Experience: Extensive understanding of tree crop productionMinimum ten (5) years' experience in large scale horticultural or equivalent sectors.Minimum five (5) years' operations management experience in a farming environment.Application of lean principles in a farming environment.Experience in leadership and mentoring.Experience in team and staff collaboration to drive vision, collective goals and objectives.Corporate farming experience is advantageous.Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.Delivery of high quality, results-oriented, customer-focused solutions.Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships based on respect and trust across all levels of the business.
