Farm Manager - Coominya

APG Workforce are currently on the lookout for a Poultry Farm Manager based in Coominya.

Duties and Responsibilities Will Include:

Lead and motivate a small team
Maintain the health and wellbeing of livestock
Follow and implement all company policies and procedures with regard to animal welfare, WHS, environmental and biosecurity
Ensure production data is maintained
Attend any meetings and training as required
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Poultry Farm Manager
Rotating roster (5 days per week)
Daily requirements for the welfare of chickens, checking sheds, collecting deceased birds, running computer programs, ordering feed and gas, and faxing weekly reports to the producer when needed
Timely feeding - food & water
Arrange with the producer for the placement of chicks and collection of grown birds, as required by the producer
Essential Skills:

Previous poultry livestock management experience
Ability to manage a small team and communicate effectively with all team members
Proactive time management skills and ability to prioritize duties
High level of computer literacy and above average level of numeracy skills
Current driver's license
Ability to forward plan
Attention to detail
Safety focused and able to ensure all WHS policies and procedures are followed
Good mechanical skills
