What's on Offer?Impactful Leadership: Step into a critical executive role at John Hunter Hospital and John Hunter Children's Hospital as we embark on a major redevelopment, set for completion in March 2026. As the Facility Services Manager, you will oversee and coordinate a diverse portfolio, including Venue Management, Engineering, Work Health and Safety (WHS), Staff Health and Wellbeing, the Clinical Information Department (CID), Security Services, Wardspersons and Operational Assistants, and the Volunteer/Accommodation Service. In this capacity, you'll directly manage the Volunteer Manager, promote Arts for Health initiatives, and drive collaboration with stakeholders, such as HealthShare, to deliver impactful outcomes within budget and performance targets.
Innovative Solutions: Play a leading role in merging vibrant new technology with existing infrastructure, ensuring a seamless transition to the hospital's new era. You'll also drive a culture of innovation by preparing the facility for audits and disaster management, chairing committees, maintaining facilities, and managing risk through effective incident investigations.

You'll bring: Expertise in strategic development, change management, and leadership, coupled with the ability to navigate and shape policies effectively.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to consult and negotiate with key stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.A natural flair for public speaking and the ability to confidently represent the hospital in various settings.Where You'll Be Working:John Hunter Hospital is the largest facility in the district, offering Level 6 tertiary referral, major trauma, and teaching services.
