Located in South Bowenfels, the Lithgow Campus is considered as a comprehensive community health centre supporting approximately 20,000 people living in the town and surrounding areas. The services available in Lithgow hospital include Domiciliary care unit, Emergency department, Geriatric assessment unit, Obstetric services, Paediatric service, Drug and Alcohol unit.
We are seeking to engage a Facility Nurse to join our team. This is a dynamic position assisting with periods of high activity and acuity across Lithgow Health Service. As a Facility Nurse, you will work collaboratively utilising effective team communication with members of the multidisciplinary health team in the planning, implementation, assessment and evaluation of patient care. You will be an advocate for the specific needs of all patients/clients and carers including those from the Aboriginal population or multi-cultural groups providing appropriate care to the patient/client undergoing specialised procedures.
Key to your success is to have recent acute clinical experience and being willing to move across the facility at short notice when directed due to clinical demands. This includes maintaining and promoting a professional standard evidenced by ethical nursing practice. The role will be deployed at the facility nurse managers' discretion, to any clinical area within the facility in order to manage unplanned surges.

What you will bring to the role: Current registration as Registered Nurse Division 1 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in Acute Care Nursing as a registered nurse with experience across a variety of clinical settings (including Completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse). Demonstrate ability to organise and prioritise work. Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care. Demonstrated effective communication skills- written and verbal. Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening, night shift across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements. Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
