Location: Gove District Hospital / Yolngu Country View Position Description About the Role As a Facilities Support Officer, you'll be the go-to person for students, staff, and stakeholders, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes everyone feel right at home!
In this dynamic role, you'll take charge of day-to-day operations at our Nhulunbuy campus and student accommodation in the beautiful East Arnhem region.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering top-notch customer service to enhance the overall experience for our vibrant community.
Leading engaging Work, Health and Safety (WHS) orientations for all users and visitors.
Responding to student inquiries about accommodation with prompt and helpful email support.
Planning and executing smooth inspections and seamless student accommodation changeovers.
Keeping track of inventory and purchasing cleaning supplies to ensure our campus shines bright.
Coordinating maintenance and servicing of our region-based fleet vehicles.

The position will be situated at the Nhulunbuy Campus and the incumbent will be required to currently live in the region.
About You To be successful in this role you exhibit:
Completion of a diploma or Certificate IV with relevant work experience, and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and/or training.
Effective customer service skills and experience in a front-line customer service environment with a positive, engaged, and solution-focused approach.
Ability to work cooperatively with team members, including staff across Rural and Remote Health and the wider University, to share information and ideas and collaborate in achieving outcomes.
Effective computer literacy including demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and applications.
Ability to use discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
Familiarity with the implications of living in rural and remote environments.
This position also requires a current driver's licence.

About Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT At Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT, our aim is to be a hub for innovative health research, education, and workforce development across the Northern Territory.
We engage with students, community, and stakeholders to provide critical programs, such as the Northern Territory Medical Program, Paramedicine, Rural Clinical School, and the University Department of Rural Health.
Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program) provide workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training, and we have a community-driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes.

Prescribed Conditions for Employment A valid National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the University will also be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
Northern Territory Government legislation (the Care and Protection of Children Act 2007) now requires all individuals in child-related employment or whose duties involve, or are likely to involve, contact with a child, to hold a valid 'Working with Children Clearance' (Ochre Card).
This position involves child-related work and is assessed as requiring a Working with Children Clearance/Ochre Card.
Staff working in a health care setting are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID in line with the NT Health policy.
A current NT Driver's license is a requirement of this position.
