The Role This client-facing leadership role offers the chance to engage with the Geelong community while working closely with Directors and the team to deliver high-quality audit and assurance services across a range of engagements. It's an excellent opportunity to enhance both your client management and leadership skills as you lead projects across diverse industries, supported by a talented team.
Your responsibilities will include planning and assigning tasks to team members, supporting their training and development, and ensuring that annual budget targets are met.
Key Responsibilities: Designing, preparing, and successfully completing audit and assurance engagements for all client entities. Collaborating with clients to discern critical project outcomes, work products, barriers to success, and any changes in expectations or scope. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and quality assurance requirements. Collaborating with our Audit Training and Development manager to provide comprehensive training and guidance to team members, enabling optimal performance. Overseeing team operations as part of the Leadership team, which includes recruitment, workflow management, resource planning, reviewing timesheets and expenses, and driving performance development. Our ideal candidate will have: Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or a similar undergraduate degree, supplemented by relevant professional certifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), or equivalent. 6 years of professional services experience in Audit and Assurance. Exceptional leadership skills with a commercial perspective on client work and internal targets. Exposure to larger client groups and sophisticated business structures featuring multiple entities and technical complexity. Profound knowledge and exposure to a wide array of technical accounting and audit issues. The salary range for this role is $107,000 - $125,000 base salary.
