Your new role This is a permanent full-time position based in Perth, Western Australia.
This role will be a key position within the Asia Pacific Sales and Business Development team, reporting to the Digital Solutions APAC Market Director.
The role will be responsible for managing and growing Woolpert's Digital Solutions Discipline throughout key account management in Western Australia across markets including Mining and Resources, Government, Infrastructure, Energy and Renewables.
Your key responsibilities will include: Management of the existing sales and accounts within WA Contribution to Woolpert's overall business plan for Asia Pacific, including development of sales and account plans for Digital Solutions clients Identify leads and driving sales to support growth Apply your technical knowledge and account management skills to achieve sales targets and client business objectives Develop new business based on existing contacts and accounts in addition to proactive and reactive lead and opportunity nurturing; Work with Project Managers to identify, address and resolve project issues impacting on client goals, objectives and/or client satisfaction; and Collaborate with Woolpert Mapping and Survey Disciplines to identify cross selling opportunities Travel to Woolpert offices, client sites and attendance/participation at local conferences, seminars and trade shows to continue to grow Woolpert's client base and strengthen its presence in the market.
About You You are a professional within the GIS/Geospatial industry, with a strong understanding of GIS (and preferably a GISP-AP) passionate about working with clients to develop solutions that deliver long term value for both them and Woolpert.
You are a creative thinker that will draw on Woolpert's suite of offerings to design innovative solutions to client problems.
You bring your experience to contribute to the growth and advancement of the Digital Solutions Discipline.
Previous experience in at least one of the following areas: GIS, Esri, Geocortex / VertiGIS, Hosted and Managed Software, Remote Sensing, GIS Analysis; Sound knowledge at least two vertical markets in Australia, e.g.
Energy, Government, Renewables, Environmental Management, Architectural/Design Development, Town Planning, Utilities, Heritage, Resources, Infrastructure and Engineering; Knowledge of relevant leading-edge technologies, trends and data; Well-developed solution selling skills in the B2B environment with a proven track record of meeting targets.
Alternatively, coaching and mentoring will be provided for the right candidate; Strong commercial acumen including negotiation and selling skills; and A passion for spatial solutions and technology and a strong commitment to personal excellence, with demonstrated self-motivation and resourcefulness.
What we're looking for Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in surveying, spatial sciences, geomatics, architecture, engineering, GIS or computing sciences.
GISP-AP certification highly desirable.
Post graduate Business and/or Project Management qualifications will be highly regarded 5+ years technical or business experience in the GIS/Geospatial industry.
The ideal candidate would preferably have existing sales experience in the GIS/Geospatial industry.
Training and mentoring can be provided to candidates who do not meet this criteria.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and clients.
Involvement or desire to participate in appropriate committees & forums in the Australian Geospatial Industry.
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
