About The Role
Whitehaven Coal are seeking experienced Shotfirers to coordinate the Drill and Blast activities at Maules Creek Mine. The shotfirers will also ensure effective operation of equipment and personnel within the blasting and drilling crews in consultation with the Drill and Blast Superintendent.
What You'll Do
Duties include, but not limited to:
Oversee drilling, loading and firing of shots Supervise and allocate work team resources to manage all Drill & Blast activities Conduct safe blasting operations and ensure a safe work area is maintained Provide support to Drill & Blast crew and conduct regular safety briefings What You'll Bring
Shotfirers with a demonstrated commitment to safety and visible work practices and provision of fair and supportive leadership.
Requirements for this position include:
Shot firing tickets or relevant experience in an open cut pit Live local to the Gunnedah area or willingness to relocate Ability to work a 7/7 roster Current Drivers Licence Why Whitehaven Coal?
