Current Opportunity – ExperiencedConsultant/ Senior Consultant, Expatriate & EmploymentTax Due to growth, we have an opportunity for a ExperiencedConsultant or Senior Consultant specialising in expatriate andemployment taxes to join our Corporate & International Tax teamin Brisbane. You will be part of a high performing team thatadvises on complex Australian taxation law matters. Your role willinvolve providing advisory and compliance services to a diverserange of clients ranging from high net-worth individuals withcomplex international tax affairs to large private andinternational groups.
Key responsibilities will include: Assist with the management of global assignee programsincluding preparation of income tax returns and income taxequalisation calculations for expatriates, and handling clientcommunicationsProvision of complex residency advice, private rulingapplications and reasonable arguable position papersProvision of employee share scheme tax adviceLiaising with the ATO regarding client mattersPreparation of fringe benefits tax returns and workpapersHelping to mentor and develop technical skills of graduatesand junior staff Ideally, you'll have the following skills andexperience: Hold a university degree in commerce, accounting and/or law(or related disciplines)1-4 years' expatriate tax experience (working in thetax practice of a Big 4/mid-tier accounting firm)CA/CPA/CTA Qualification or Masters of Taxation (or workingtowards)Passion for continued learning and improving your technicalexpertiseExposure consulting a range of clientsWhy BDO BDO offers professional development, collaborative culture,workplace flexibility, global career growth opportunities and anindustry-competitive salary package.
