We are offering a strong career path for a Civil Design Engineer with a minimum of five years of post-graduate experience that includes stormwater management and flood modelling. The role offers exposure to the variety of challenging and stimulating projects we work on. Your application should highlight any relevant experience applying various aspects of Civil Engineering to Australian Standards (e.g., stormwater drainage, sewer reticulation, water reticulation, earthworks, road design, construction phase of stormwater management) and working with local government authorities (LGAs) in SEQld. Please include your software experience and capability utilised to deliver this.
All engineers are supported to obtain their registration as this is essential for career progression from mid to senior-level engineering. You will ideally be certified, however, if you are actively pursuing your professional registration please don't be discouraged from applying to this vacancy in our Brisbane office. Existing RPEQ/CPEng/NER applicants are eligible for higher starting salaries, as indicated above.

Please note Westera is an engineering consultancy firm where even our Managing Partners are on the tools, performing complex design and design reviews as a key component of their leadership roles. As such, the focus in your application should be on experience analysing, designing, and advising across our variety of projects and/or works, rather than site-based engineering roles (although site inspections at various stages of construction will comprise part of the engineering role, as per requirements of the profession for building certifications).
You must have unrestricted Australian work rights and hold a current, unencumbered Australian Driver's licence to perform this role.
