How will I help? The role of Executive Manager, Strategy Execution & Governance, Pacific Banking will work with the Chief Operating Officer, Pacific, to deliver strategic, operational and execution support to Westpac Pacific's banking business to fulfill its committed strategic, transformation and BSR program deliverables. The role will do this by building effectiveness and efficiency into our systems, processes, tools and products, making it easy for customers to do business with us.
Initially focusing on Pacific-wide ownership of key activities for strategic vendors under the Group's Procurement and Supplier Risk Management policies, the role will also more broadly support wider COO initiatives within Operations, Procurement, Property & Protective Services (PPPS), Customer Experience, and Change and Transformation spaces.
This role will be the primary Australian-based delegate for the COO and will work closely with the COO and other Pacific LT members to deliver on a variety of initiatives aligned to the Pacific strategy. Key responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities: Work with Pacific leadership team members to define and drive Pacific's digital strategy, ensuring key transformation projects are aligned to the strategy whilst also delivering short term uplifts to existing capabilities within key systems such as Corporate Online. Work with stakeholders across the Pacific and wider Group to identify opportunities to improve automation and reduce cost through deployment of analysis/automation techniques such as Gen AI tools, Alteryx, Power BI or similar. What do I need? To be a successful candidate for this role you will have:
At least 12 years' work experience in large financial services organisations. Outstanding planning, execution and organisational skills, with the ability to think creatively and utilise network to achieve results. Track record of leading change initiatives to deliver outcomes in a complex regulatory environment. Operations and technology experience essential, with payments and transactional banking knowledge strongly preferred. Data Extraction and Analysis skills a strong advantage, including SQL & Power BI (or similar). What's it like to work there?
