As part of our Strategic Delivery leadership team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our compliance with AML/CTF regulations. You'll lead our 1st Line of Defence AML/CTF Compliance team, driving a culture of awareness, engagement, and optimal risk operations.
What you'll do: Lead functions across the bank in designing and applying AML/CTF and Sanctions Regime processes and controls, reducing the impact of potential non-compliance and regulatory actions.Drive an uplift in risk and compliance maturity and culture across the business, increasing understanding of risk management and proactive use of trend analysis.Design, manage, and implement a robust control and control testing environment in relation to AML/CTF, driven by identified key risks and strategic objectives.Monitor and understand the implications of relevant industry and regulatory developments, leading and managing AML/CTF risks and compliance obligations within the 1st Line of Defence.Partner with 2nd Line of Defence to ensure effective oversight of risk governance processes, advising strategic leaders on areas for improvement in risk management.What you'll bring: Qualification in risk, compliance management, corporate governance.10+ years' experience in banking or financial services with a focus on AML/CTF compliance and risk management.Experience leading complex risk-related projects and influencing senior stakeholders.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams toward achieving bold goals.Demonstrated deep understanding of the risk landscape and commercial implications, adept at managing compliance issues effectively within a dynamic business environment.Strong analytical prowess to identify key issues, compare data, and establish cause-effect relationships, driving the development of innovative solutions and recommendations.Exceptional communication skills to communicate complex information confidently and coherently, both orally and in writing, fostering clear understanding and alignment across diverse stakeholders.What we can offer A range of flexible working and leave options, including 20 weeks paid parental leave, 4 weeks paid secondary carer parental leave and unlimited paid emergency response leaveDiscounts and offers on a range of retail favourite stores as well as banking and insurance productsGive back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leaveInvest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programs; andPrioritise your work/life balance with our robust employee assistance program and dedicated employee councilAt Suncorp, we are committed to building futures and protecting what matters.
