We develop and manage our own properties and work closely with leading government and non-governmental organisations to provide housing for our customers.We currently have an opportunity for an Executive General Manager (EGM) in Legal, Governance & Risk. This is a 12-month fixed-term role (parental leave cover) directly reporting to the CEO. Your key responsibility will be to lead and support a highly skilled and dedicated legal, governance and risk team during this period. You will be provided with a comprehensive handover so that you can confidently accept the role.EGM Legal, Governance & Risk works closely with the Executive Leadership Team and the Board to manage the legal, governance and risk affairs of the HCA group of companies. As a part of the Executive Leadership team, this is a key role in forming organisational strategy and culture. The EGM Legal, Governance & Risk will lead multiple teams across corporate functions comprising legal, governance, risk, assurance, and compliance.The ideal candidate has worked in similar leadership roles in the past and is highly experienced in supporting the team on transactional matters relating to property development, major infrastructure projects (including public-private partnerships) and commercial matters, while providing oversight to the corporate governance function.The candidate should also have an excellent leadership style for supporting the team. The current team is motivated, hardworking with a strong sense of trust, flexibility and camaraderie,The role will ideally suit a team-oriented person with strong board and executive engagement skills who is keen to learn, provide leadership, and coach and mentor team members as required. HCA has a genuine flexible/hybrid work policy with five weeks of annual leave to improve employee well-being.
