The Executive Director will provide leadership and high-level strategic advice, direction and support to the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners, and members of the Executive Leadership Team on the critical transformation agenda and will work with the QPS executive and governance group to help focus those involved in implementing change by setting the tempo for the pace of organisational reform.
The Executive Director will lead the implementation of the Transformation Office and will coordinate and drive the transformation agenda to support the overall objectives of the QPS.
The core capability requirements for this role are: Provide leadership and high-level strategic advice, direction and support to the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners, and members of the Executive Leadership Team on the critical transformation agenda.Lead the implementation and direction of the Transformation Office, coordinating and driving the transformation agenda to align with QPS's overall objectives.Provide strong and effective leadership to the Transformation Office, promoting a culture of innovation and high performance to enhance service delivery and change management capability.Collaborate with QPS Executive and governance group to ensure alignment and commitment to organisational reform and setting the pace for change.Advance the transformation agenda to maximise benefits and return on investment for QPS.Oversee the strategic analysis of management information to assess the effectiveness and performance of the Transformation Office.Ensure communication and change management frameworks are effective, support realisation of benefits and promote achievements.Provide strong business acumen, analytical capability, intuitive risk awareness and vision to develop innovative strategies that drive organisational reform and maturity.Develop and maintain effective strategic partnerships within the organisation, across government and with key stakeholder groups to facilitate collaboration and support.Represent the QPS at internal and external forums and meetings relating to the transformation agenda.Ensure the Transformation Office operates within budget and aligns with QPS values, fostering a results-oriented environment and a culture of continuous improvement through effective communication.While there are no mandatory requirements for this role, relevant tertiary qualifications and/or proven experience in strategic organisational transformation and change management within a large and complex organisation will be highly regarded.
